Hello! Thank you for visiting our website. If you’ve made it this far, why not spend another minute or two reading a little bit about us?

We are Jody and Amanda, and in May 2024, we became the owners of this wonderful, warm little play centre.

We first met as neighbours, then became daycare-mum friends, then friends, and now business partners. Between the two of us, we have 6 children under 8 years old and, as such, have spent many a day letting our kids run amok in every play centre in town; so we could just have a few minutes to sit, chat, and… breathe.

Rainbow City was one we hadn’t heard too much about, but when we visited for the first time, it quickly became our most regular meeting spot. For us, it was a breath of fresh air to find an (air-conditioned!) space where our multiple toddlers and pre-schoolers could run and play safely, while we all tried to finish a conversation and recover from their antics the night before.

It was in one of these brief moments of magically “sitting” that the opportunity to buy Rainbow City popped up, and in a bout of pure madness, which we can only put down to being overtired-and-over-caffeinated-working-mums, we thought to ourselves – well, why not? How hard can it be?

Spoiler alert: very hard. It has been an absolute whirlwind for us so far (the quantity of chicken nuggets per week is astronomical!) but we are finding our feet and settling into this crazy world of working-mum, small-business-owner life. We love so much about our centre and don’t want to change it overnight, but we also want to make it ours and bring to life what we have been talking about late at night in the quiet when the kids have finally gone to bed. 

We’re hoping to build a centre for mums (and dads!), by mums (and dads!). We want to make the centre a cornerstone of the Logan community. We love spending time in the centre, meeting our families and learning how best to make your lives a little easier, so if you ever have any ideas please come and chat with us.
